WATCH- Glenn Phillips takes a 'stunning' catch against Middlesex in Vitality T20 Blast

Phillips took the catch in 3rd over Middlesex's innings.

Glenn Phillips | GettyNew Zealand cricketer Glenn Phillips who is currently playing for Gloucestershire took an absolutely brilliant catch in their recent match against Middlesex, at the T20 Vitality Blast 2021.

The incident occurred in the third over of the second innings when Middlesex was chasing a target of 172 runs. Opener Stephen Eskinazi tried to direct delivery by Matt Taylor to the boundary but Phillips had other plans.

The 24year-old Kiwi ran from the backward point and even had to dive in order to complete an absolute blinder that sent the Middlesex opener back to the pavilion with only 9 runs to his name.

The tournament's official Twitter handle shared the highlight and captioned it as, “WHAT A WORLDIE Glenn Phillips take a bow”.

Phillips has been in top form during the Vitality Blast 2021, scoring 423 runs in 10 matches so far, at an average of 60. He has also registered three half-centuries and has a strike rate of more than 160. He also has hit the most number of sixes in the competition at 29.

As far as his international career is concerned, Phillips has represented New Zealand in 25 T20Is with 506 runs to his name at an average of 28.1 with an amazing strike rate of 149.70.

He has also played in a Test match for New Zealand and was awarded a central contract by NZC ahead of the 2021-22 season.
