Irfan Pathan shuts down a troll for calling him Virat Kohli’s ‘chamcha’

Kohli is drawing a lot of flak on social media after India's defeat in the WTC final.

Virat Kohli | GettyVirat Kohli’s performance as a captain and batsman has come under the scanner after India’s 8-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Kohli recorded scores of 44, 13 in the marquee clash and he was dismissed by lanky Kiwi pacer Kyle Jamieson in both innings.

Fans were also not happy with Kohli’s captaincy as India failed to save the WTC final despite two days of play being abandoned due to inclement weather.

Disappointed by Kohli’s performance, a Twitter user recently targeted former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan for praising the Indian skipper in his commentary.

“Is @IrfanPathan getting paid for doing commentary or is he getting paid to praise #ViratKohli? Chamchagiri ka ek Hadd hona chahiye,” the Twitter user wrote.

In response, Pathan came up with a classy and befitting statement.

“So you don’t want me to praise the best player in the world??”, his response read.

Other Indian cricket fans also slammed the troll for using distasteful language to make his point.
