Indian team captain Virat Kohli overcame the disappointment of losing the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final to post a motivational message on social media.

New Zealand defeated India by 8 wickets in the final which concluded on the reserve day of the first-ever World Test Championship. India could only set a target of 139 for the Kane Williamson-led side which was never going to be enough.

The Indian team will stay in England, to avoid traveling difficulties due to COVID-19 restrictions as well as prepare for the five-match Test series against the hosts starting on August 4.

Kohli in his tweet said Team India is a family and will move ahead together."This isn’t just a team. It’s a family. We move ahead. TOGETHER" he wrote.

India beat England 3-1 at home in February, but the series in England will no doubt be far tougher for Virat Kohli and his team. Kohli had a great tour personally in 2018, but India lost 4-1 despite playing some fine cricket in difficult conditions.

England too like India, suffered a defeat against New Zealand in absence of few of their experienced players. It will be an enthralling series to see how two struggling batting units tackle the lethal bowling attacks on both sides.
