In what can only be termed unfortunate but hilarious circumstances, a club cricketer ended up breaking his own car’s windscreen during a match after the ball he hit for a massive six landed in the parking lot.
During the Halifax Cricket League Crossley Shield Quarter-Final on Sunday, Asif Ali of St Mary’s Cricket Club, while playing against Sowerby’s St Peter’s, lofted one over the boundary and into the parking zone for a six.
As he watched the ball sail into the parking lot nearby, his happiness turned into horror and hilarity ensued as he watched the ball smashing his car’s back windscreen.

Asif placed a hand on his head in disbelief and then went on his knees into abject despair, all the while other players and even the umpires had a chuckle at his misfortune.
According to Yorkshire Evening Post, Asif was left “devastated afterward, but could see the funny side of it all." Fix Auto Bradford South, one of the sponsors of the club, reportedly told Asif they may help him out fixing the damage caused to his own car.
