Taking to Twitter, Ashwin had uploaded a picture with teammate Cheteshwar Pujara from the Southampton ground and captioned it, "Prizes for guessing what @cheteshwar1 is telling me here!".

In response, Jaffer wrote, "2016 WT20, 2019 WC semi, sabka badla lega re tera White Walker (2016 WT20, 2019 WC semi, the White Walker will take revenge of all these losses)", and added, "unbowed, unbent, unbroken."

It is worth mentioning here that the Indian cricket team haven’t won a global tournament since 2013 despite making it to the final four in each of the ICC events thereafter.

Team India have an opportunity to end the ICC trophy drought when they take the field for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand in Southampton from June 18-22.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and company on Friday started full-fledged training for the WTC final after serving their quarantine period.

Taking to Twitter, BCCI shared a video of the players training and wrote: "#TeamIndia get into the groove for the #WTC21 Final."
