Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has responded to India off-spinner R Ashwin's hilarious meme on his tweet explaining 'all-time great'. Recently, the cricketer-turned-commentator said that Ashwin is not an all-time great bowler in his book, because of his record in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) countries.

Manjerkar later posted a tweet explaining whom he considers all-time great after fans were not happy with his statement. "All-time great' is the highest praise and acknowledgment given to a cricketer. Cricketers like Don Bradman, Sobers, Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Virat, etc are all-time greats in my book. With due respect, Ashwin is not quite there as an all-time great yet. #AllTimeGreatExplained," he tweeted.

The India off-spinner took the criticism sportingly and came up with a hilarious meme from the Tamil movie Anniyan in response to Manjrekar's tweet. In the meme, the lead character (actor Vikram) says, ‘apdi solladha da chaari, manasellam valikirdhu’ (don’t say that, my heart is paining).

Now, the 55-year-old has quoted Ashwin's post with a light-hearted response. He wrote that his heart aches to see the outrage over his cricket assessment. "Also Chaari, my heart aches to see simple, straightforward, cricketing assessments kick up a fuss these days," he tweeted.

Ashwin is currently with Team India on the tour to the United Kingdom for the ICC World Test Championship final and five-match Test series against England.
