Former South Africa batsman AB de Villiers celebrated his father's 70th birthday on May 29 with his wife Danielle. He sang his all-time favorite song with his wife for his father on a special day.

De Villiers shared the video on his official Instagram account and wrote, "On the 29th we celebrated my Father’s 70th bday and I had the privilege to perform one of my all-time favorite songs with my beautiful wife @danielledevilliers."

The 37-year-old can be heard singing “I won’t give up” by Jason Mraz, with his wife alongside. "We all interpret songs in our own unique way, this song has a particularly special meaning to me and reminds me that God is always there, no matter what happens," he further wrote in his post.

De Villiers said he is lucky to have his father by his side as a role model for so many years. “While singing this song on the 29th and looking across the room to my Dad, it also reminded me how lucky I’ve been to have had my him by my side as a role model for so many years,” he added.

While Virat Kohli's wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma liked the video, De Villiers’ Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Glenn Maxwell jokingly commented, “This is certainly an improvement on your last performance.”
