India batsman Shreyas Iyer has started rehabilitation after his successful shoulder surgery. He had suffered an injury during India's ODI series against England earlier this year and had to miss out on the first phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021).

Iyer shared a video of himself running up a small slope as a routine exercise in isolation. The video got a comment from fellow Mumbaikar and India batsman Suryakumar Yadav as he wrote, "Shahenshah running technique".

The 26-year-old had to sit out of the IPL 2021 and Delhi Capitals (DC) was led by Rishabh Pant in his absence. DC did well to stay on top of the points table before the tournament got suspended by BCCI.

If Iyer manages to recover in time, he may be seen on the Sri Lanka tour in July. India is scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20Is in Sri Lanka. The team will not feature the Test players who will be on the United Kingdom tour for the ICC World Test Championship final and a five-match Test series against England.
