WATCH - Ravindra Jadeja begins preparation for England tour; shares pre-workout clip

India will play ICC World Test Championship final before competing in five-match Test series against England.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has started preparation for the United Kingdom (UK) tour, where Team India will play ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand followed by a five-match Test series against hosts England.

Jadeja posted a video and a mirror selfie from his gym session as he gears up for the important tour. Before the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), he missed out on the series against England at home due to a finger injury.

"Preparation starts here???? #englandtour #workout," wrote Jadeja on his Instagram post. As per reports, the Indian team will leave for UK on June 2.

The 32-year-old returned to competitive cricket in IPL 2021 and he showed good all-round performance for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Jadeja scored 131 runs at a strike rate of 161.72 and an average of 131. He also picked 6 wickets in 7 matches at a bowling average of 26.83 and grabbed 8 catches.

In the clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Jadeja had collected 37 runs in an over of Harshal Patel as he scored 28-ball 63* runs before taking 3 wickets with the ball.
