R Ashwin urges everyone to maintain distance in vaccination centers; offers to buy N95 Masks for the needy

Ashwin posted couple of tweets to spread awareness on social distancing and use of mask.

R Ashwin | InstagramIndia cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has urged everyone to keep a safe distance while going to get vaccinated. The government has started registration for the COVID-19 vaccine already.

Ashwin posted a tweet and wrote that one should use a double mask and avoid wearing a cloth mask. He also offered to buy N95 masks for people who can't afford it as India battles the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I urge everyone going to get their vaccine shot to keep a safe distance from one another and double mask. ( no cloth masks pls) . The very point of getting a vaccine is to fight this deadly virus, let’s not make that hopeful idea into a cluster. #COVID19India," he tweeted. 

A user asked for a solution saying those who suffer to get food and have low income can't afford the costly masks. Ashwin responded to him and said he is ready to buy and distribute the masks to the needy people. 

"N 95 masks can be washed and reused. I am happy to buy and give it to people who can’t afford it! Please let me know ways to distribute them if you or anyone on my timeline knows how," he replied on Twitter. 

The Delhi Capitals (DC) off-spinner had already left the IPL 2021 to be with his family members who were affected by the COVID-19. Ashwin's wife Prithi revealed that 10 people in her family had contracted the virus, including six adults and four children.
