Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh wished Punjab Kings (PBKS) batsman Deepak Hooda on his 26th birthday. Yuvraj wished for a successful IPL 2021 for Hooda and also joked about his catch against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday (April 18).
Hooda had nearly dropped the catch of Rishabh Pant in the 18th over of Delhi's chase. He juggled the ball multiple times before holding on to the catch. Fortunately, the ball didn't pop out of his hands.
"Happy birthday to the fiery and determined youngster @HoodaOnFire! Wishing you loads of success for the IPL - keep working hard and hitting them out of the park ????????????????," he wrote in his tweet.
Yuvraj further added, "definitely need to work on those slippery butter fingers in the outfield ????", which was directed towards his catch.
Hooda has been promising with the bat this season. He is striking the ball at a strike rate of 171.42 in the three matches PBKS has played so far.
He had smashed a half-century in the first match of Punjab against Rajasthan Royals, which is the only game PBKS has won in three outings.
