England's fast bowler Chris Woakes is enjoying his stint with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). Woakes was included in the playing eleven against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which was his debut match for DC.
Woakes, who picked up 2/18 against CSK, said he is getting a family sort of vibe with the Delhi franchise. "Yeah, always nice to, I suppose to start with a new team," he said.
"Obviously, played with a couple of IPL teams but there is a real good feel here, good family sort of vibe going on," Woakes added in a video posted on Delhi Capitals official Twitter handle.

The 32-year-old said the squad is confident after their comfortable win against CSK in the first match. Delhi had defeated the Super Kings by five wickets.
"It is too early, it's always good to get off to a good start. Winning your first game gives everyone a bit of confidence. You know, everyone is eager to get going, to begin at the start of the IPL but it's just one performance. We know there's a lot of games ahead and some good teams to play against.
"So, we won't be getting ahead of ourselves but I think everyone in the group is confident and looking forward to the next few games," he said.
Woakes was supposed to play for DC last season but the Englishman pulled out ahead of the IPL 2020. DC had signed South African speedster Anrich Nortje as his replacement. Delhi Capitals had earlier bought Woakes for INR 1.5 Crores.
