Indian opener Rohit Sharma called Rishabh Pant 'mental' in an appreciative manner and also posted a picture with him on his Instagram account on Friday (March 5).
Rishabh Pant was the hero for Team India with a remarkable century against England on Day 2 of the fourth Test match at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. The wicket-keeper's matured knock saw he team get out of trouble after being 80/4 and then put pressure on the opposition when the youngster started going bonkers.
The 23-year-old's innings of 101 runs off 118 balls had two halves. He got to his half-century in 82 balls and the second fifty came in just 33 balls, that too with a six over deep mid-wicket. By the time he got out, Team India was in a comfortable position with Washington Sundar well set at the other end.
After the end of day's play, veteran opener Rohit Sharma posted a picture with Pant on Instagram and captioned it, "Mental isn't he. Well played though spidey"
