Kangana Ranaut responds to Rohit Sharma’s tweet on ongoing protests; calls cricketers ‘Dhobi ka Kutta’

Multiple cricketers have tweeted with respect to ongoing protests in Delhi.

Rohit Sharma and Kangana RanautBollywood star Kangana Ranaut found herself in hot waters on social media, after her shameful comments on Indian cricketers, who tweeted with respect to ongoing protests against new farm bills.

Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Anil Kumble, and others criticized interference of foreign celebrities like pop-star Rihanna and activist Great Thunberg sharing their views on the ongoing protests in the nation’s capital Delhi.

However, Kangana took things too far when she termed the cricketers a derogatory term for their tweets on the matter.

Sharing his views on the ongoing protests, Rohit wrote, "India has always been stronger when we all stand together, and finding a solution is the need of the hour. Our farmers play an important role in our nation’s well being and I am sure everyone will play their roles to find a solution TOGETHER. #IndiaTogether."

To this, Kangana quoted Rohit’s tweet, and posted, “Why all these cricketers sounding like dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka? Why would farmers be against laws which are revolutionary for their well-being. These are terrorists who are causing ruckus. Say that na...itna daarr lagta hai?

The controversial tweet has since been taken down by Twitter, who released a statement saying, “We have taken action on Tweets that were in violation of the Twitter rules in line with our range of enforcement options.”

"India’s sovereignty cannot be compromised. External forces can be spectators but not participants. Indians know India and should decide for India. Let's remain united as a nation. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda," tweeted Sachin Tendulkar.

While Kohli said, "Let us all stay united in this hour of disagreements. Farmers are an integral part of our country and I'm sure an amicable solution will be found between all parties to bring about peace and move forward together. #IndiaTogether."
