England cricketer Alex Hales has come in support of the controversial dismissal 'Mankading'. Hales is among the few English cricketers who have shown their backing for the much talked about form of dismissal after Jos Buttler was run out in IPL 2019 by R Ashwin.

While many believe it's morally wrong to dismiss the non-striker through Mankading, Hales believes it should be fine in T20 cricket where small margins change the game.

Hales responded to a tweet that asked the Twitterati to share their controversial takes on cricket. The England batsman responded and wrote, "Mankading is absolutely fine in t20 cricket.. (preparing for barrage)????".

A fan replied to his tweet suggesting a warning to the non-striker would be a good option. But Hales was clear with his view and said the non-striker should avoid going out of the crease in the first place.

Hales mentioned 'T20 cricket' specifically in his tweet and it made a fan ask about the other format of cricket. He cleared that small margins won't matter in Test cricket as much it does in the T20 cricket.

The conversation ended on a funny note when a fan said there should be another separate line for the non-striker to avoid backing up. Hales replied by saying there is already one and it's called the popping crease.
