Ajinkya Rahane received appreciation from all around the world for pulling off a miracle with the limited resources at hand after beating a full-strength Australian side in their own backyard. During the series victory, Team India also breached Australia's 'fortress', where they hadn't lost a Test match in the last 32 years.
Rahane was at the helm of this victory for believing in his boys and making them believe in themselves that they could pull such a feat against one of the best teams in world cricket at the moment.
Ajinkya Rahane remained calm and composed throughout the ups and downs that the Indians had to face in the series and saw to it that everything was in command.

Despite achieving the honor of being the captain during India's biggest heist in Test cricket away from home, Ajinkya Rahane has managed to keep himself in check. He has shown immense levels of respect towards his opponents and also to the nation after the victory has been achieved and the atmosphere has settled down.
He got a grand welcome back home when his society members rolled out the red carpet for him and had a special cake made for him to cut with a kangaroo on top.
While he embraced the attendees being his own calm self, hugged his wife, and carried his toddler in his arms as the crowd sang praises of Rahane.
What made the man even more special is that he refused to cut the kangaroo figure on top of the cake in respect of the Australian national animal.
