The 'Master Blaster' shared his expertise with the opposition cricketers keenly listening to him.

Tendulkar talked to Haryana players on form and basics | screengrab/YouTube Legendary Sachin Tendulkar on Wednesday (October 28) shared a video from his last Ranji Trophy encounter back in late October 2013 against Haryana in Lahli.

In a riveting low-scoring fixture where Tendulkar admirably grind his way to a 79 not out in the final innings to take Mumbai through at the age of 40, the 'Master Blaster' also had the time to share his expertise with the opposition players.

He interacted with Haryana cricketers on what form exactly means and the basics of batsmanship.

"There is a bit of visualisation. I would not say I do it always. But when I feel there is a need to think about where the oppositions' bowler can bowl and which shots I should play and which I should avoid. The preparation is based on that," Tendulkar says in the video shared over his YouTube channel.

Inarguably one of the game's greatest, he also asked the Haryana cricketers keenly listening to not complicate their game when they're doing well.

"Sometimes, I feel I am batting well and I need not think much and just react after watching the ball. You have to see how you are performing, if you are batting well then there is no need to change. Because if you try to do even better, you may complicate things."

Form, in Tendulkar's definition, is a state of mind where a batsman is reacting to the ball nicely, with his body balance, footwork, and head position all working in tune. It isn't just about runs on the board.

"Every player has his own basics and you have to identify that," he said. "And when you are not performing well, you need to go back to your basics. When you are batting well, you need to figure out what are you doing which is helping you perform well."
