While the countdown for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has already begun in the United Arab Emirates, former England captain Kevin Pietersen has also departed for the UAE to take part in the world’s biggest T20 extravaganza.
The 40-year-old, who was recently commentating in the three-match T20I series between England and Australia, is a part of the IPL 2020 commentary team. The cash-rich T20 league starts from 19th September in Abu Dhabi.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday (September 12), Pietersen posted a balcony picture of himself enjoying a cup of coffee. As always, the former batsman is excited to work again in the IPL 2020.

Pietersen captioned the Instagram post: “From a bubble in the UK to a bubble in Dubai...! I love that we have cricket back and as always very excited about working on the @iplt20.”
He further added, “Who’s winning? I hope Delhi! ????????”
Noteworthy, the Delhi Capitals are one of the three teams, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore to not win the IPL yet and will hope to win the coveted trophy this year having a strong squad with a number of stars including Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane in their ranks.
