With Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 making its way back next month in the UAE following Coronavirus-forced hiatus, Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians (MI) captain, and India’s white-ball vice-captain, like others, has begun preparations for the world’s biggest T20 league.

However, Rohit, the most successful captain in the history of IPL, is yet to start outdoor training since Maharashtra has emerged as the worst-hit state in the country and most of the players living there, including MI captain and Virat Kohli, are keeping themselves fit through strenuous gym sessions.

The upcoming IPL 2020 will mark the comeback of the Indian cricketers to cricketing action after more than seven months’ break due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Rohit would certainly love to continue his winning streak in the tournament having won record 4 IPL trophies as captain of MI.

Well on Thursday (August 13), Rohit shared his photo of attending a gym session on his Instagram account with the caption: “Going low only to push yourself higher”.

However, more than the right-handed opener's exercise, it was MI captain’s heavy bearded look which hogged much attention with his fans flooding his post praising his look.

Meanwhile, Rohit’s latest post also grabbed the attention of his former India and MI teammate Yuvraj Singh – who is known for his jovial nature on and off the field, as the former all-rounder was in the full mood for the good-old banter with the latter on the platform.

Finding Rohit hit the gym, Yuvraj came out with a funny comment tagging one of their common friends Aneesh Gautam – which became the talk of the town on social media.

His comment read – ‘Finally hitman hits the gym’.

Noteworthy, the MI is yet to officially announce the date for their departure but the franchises can only fly to UAE after August 20 and all the players will have to be in quarantine for seven days after landing there.
