MI dedicated the song to Sachin Tendulkar in an Instagram Reel.

Sachin Tendulkar with Yuvraj Singh in MI dugout | TwitterMumbai Indians (MI) franchise owned by Mukesh Ambani were fortunate to get Indian and Mumbai batting legend Sachin Tendulkar as their icon player when the IPL 2008 auctions were planned. The little master had played just one T20I match for India in 2006 and opted out of the 2007 T20 World Cup.

But in his long career, one thing that Tendulkar did was to keep adapting and changing his style with new times and when the IPL rolled in, the master did just that to fit in the new slam-bang mode cricket. He was named captain of the franchise and led them admirably well, including a finals appearance in 2010.

He had fulfilled his dream of winning the World Cup in 2011 and the only goal left to achieve was the IPL trophy, something he finally got his hands on in 2013. He also called time on his illustrious IPL career that season, as a champion.

Tendulkar made 2334 runs in 78 IPL matches with one century and 13 fifties to his name at an average of 34.83 and a strike rate of 119.81. He was the first Indian player to win the Orange Cap in IPL 2020 for his 618 runs.

Given that he still plays a mentor role in the Mumbai Indians’ camp, the franchise decided to pay Tendulkar a little tribute on Instagram and shared clips of the great man with the song “Tujhe Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” from Shah Rukh Khan’s 2008 starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Is there a better song to describe @sachintendulkar?,” MI captioned the post.
