Rohit Sharma is one of the best white-ball cricketers in the world today and is growing his reputation in Test matches as well. Sharma has a host of records to his name including three double centuries in ODIs and five centuries in one World Cup edition in 2019.
Rohit has credited MS Dhoni with changing the course of his cricketing career ever since the former India captain asked the Mumbai batsman to open the innings post the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar. Sharma was floundering in the lower middle order and something was unleashed when started to open.

In the same year of 2013, he became the third Indian to score a double century in ODIs and MS Dhoni was with him at the crease in Bengaluru during the India-Australia ODI. Rohit made 209 with a then-record 16 sixes with Dhoni scoring a quick fifty as well and both shared a brilliant partnership as well.

Another user reminded him about Suresh Raina’s comparison between him and Dhoni as captains and Rohit mentioned that MS Dhoni is one of a kind and there can be no comparisons between the two.
He also said that every player is brilliant individually and comparisons shouldn’t be made.
