The 25-year-old is currently struggling with his back injury. He was recently removed from Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) central contract.

Now, it is said that Ali may have to take another six months to recover from back problems and fractured ribs in 2019. They were struggling to send him overseas for treatment because of COVID-19.

Hasan had returned to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the Peshawar Zalmi in the tournament this year. PCB will closely monitor his progress in fitness as he hasn't played for Pakistan since the last World Cup.
