Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Suresh Raina relived the memories of his best IPL knock in a losing cause. He smashed 87 runs off 25 deliveries in a must-win game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in 2014.
It was the second qualifier, CSK was chasing 227 in 20 overs, a very tough ask in such a high-pressure game. They needed someone to provide them a good base to capitalize on later in the chase.

Raina was the man who filled CSK camp with faith after taking them to 100 runs in just 6 overs. The last over of the powerplay, bowled by Parvinder Awana went for 33 runs.
The Super Kings batsman was looking unstoppable but unfortunately, he got run-out and CSK couldn't recover from the shock. They went on to lose the match after the team could only manage 202/7.
Chennai's official Twitter account posted a picture and said Raina remains not-out in their heart for this innings. Responding to them, the batsman wrote he didn't give up and wanted to make it through for his team but it wasn't to be.
"Only thing was running through my mind was not to give up & make it through. So badly wanted to make it to the finals. It will always remain a very special knock for me. #WhistlePodu”, he wrote.
