Dhoni has communicated his future plans to captain and selectors: Sourav Ganguly

In an interview with CNN News 18, Ravi Shastri was seen talking to Anand Narasimhan and the two discussed MS Dhoni’s return in detail. Shastri stressed on the point that the one format Dhoni can play at his age is the T20 format and this means if he has a rocking IPL edition, he may very well put his hand up for selection for the T20 World Cup 2020.

Shastri also said that if even Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson, the other two contenders have a good IPL, along with Dhoni; the selectors must look at which keeper has the goods to perform well in Australia, which hosts the tourney. Dhoni has the experience, is extremely fit for a 38-year-old and probably would like to go out on a high after winning the T20 title.
