With player auction for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 just around the corner, everyone is excited to see what players do the franchises go for. The star-studded affair which is scheduled on Thursday (19 December), will take place in Kolkata.

As the timing for this event was not mentioned anywhere, a curious fan asked Star Sports, the official broadcasters of auction about the timing.

To which the official twitter handle of Star Sports replied saying, “Hi! Catch the #VIVOIPLAuction on December 19 from 2:30 PM, LIVE on Star Sports 1 Hindi/1 HD Hindi, Star Sports First, 1 Tamil, 1 Telugu, 1 Kannada, 1 Bangla; from 3:20 PM on Select 1/1 HD.”

971 players had registered to fill 73 spots in the cash rich league out of which the IPL management shortlisted a total of 332 players who will go under the hammer.
