IND v SA 2019: WATCH - Jadeja receives warning for dancing down the Pune track after Kohli refuses a run

The second India versus South Africa Test continued on Day 2 in Pune on Friday (October 11) with captain Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja piling on the runs and the agony for the visitors, who are already 1-0 down in the three-match series after a 203-run hammering in Vizag.

Jadeja, though, also found himself in midst of a slightly nervy moment when he was given a warning by the umpire for walking a few steps on the deteriorating track as his batting partner Kohli refused a single.

The incident happened in the 128th over of the first innings delivered by South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje.

However, it can be safely said Jadeja wasn't intentionally trying to run on the track, as he only took two big leaps over the pitch as his weight was going forward to try and steal a run when at the last minute skipper Kohli decided it wouldn't be prudent to go for one.

Jadeja's footwork made it look funny but the 30-year-old couldn't save himself from being given a warning by the officiating umpire.

A five-run penalty can be imposed on a team if one of its batsmen is believed to have deliberated intend to disturb the playing surface as per the ICC laws.

Jadeja scored 91 and Virat Kohli hit a career-best 254* as India declared their first innings at 601/5.
