The whole nation is engaged in the debate over the cutting of Aarey colony trees in Mumbai. India batsman Rohit Sharma is the latest celebrity to raise his concern over the matter. He is against the cutting down of trees in the Aarey colony.
Sharma took to Twitter and wrote: "Even if there is more to the story, nothing is worth cutting down something so vital. Part of Mumbai being slightly greener & slight difference in the temperature is mainly because of #AareyColony. How can we take that away, not to mention thousands of animals will displace."
His tweet only satisfied one side of the people, while others continue to question him. Some even asked Rohit, who himself hails from Mumbai if he has ever felt the struggle of Mumbaikars who have to travel in a fully packed Mumbai local. People risk their lives to catch trains.
