India batsman Rohit Sharma on Wednesday (January 9) trolled his teammate Rishabh Pant by asking him to babysit his newborn. Rohit became a father after wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a baby girl on December 30, 2018.
Taking to Twitter, Sharma quoted Pant’s ‘Good Morning’ tweet and wrote: “Morning buddy. Heard your a good baby sitter, need one right now. Ritika will be quite happy ???? @RishabPant777”.
After a few hours, Rohit’s better half, Ritika, also approved the choice to employ Pant as a babysitter for their daughter.
Rohit and Ritika’s comment came in the wake of Pant’s infamous banter with Australia skipper Tim Paine during the recently held Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the third Test at Melbourne, Paine had hilariously sledged Pant whether he is free to 'babysit' his kids while he goes for a movie with his wife.
Subsequently, Paine’s wife, Bonnie Paine, had shared an Instagram story featuring Rishabh Pant and her kids with the caption reading: “best babysitter”.
Amusingly, Paine’s wife posted another Instagram story on Wednesday holding her baby. She tagged Pant and asked the Indian glovesman if he is free for a babysitting gig today.
