An ugly spat occurred during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match between Rawalpindi Pindiz and Islamabad United at the National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday (April 23), involving former Pakistan teammates Mohammad Amir and Faheem Ashraf.
During the 17th over of Islamabad’s innings, Amir bowled a slower bouncer to Faheem, who edged the ball to wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.
After the dismissal, Amir gave an animated send-off to Faheem, which left the latter furious. On his way to the pavilion, the all-rounder turned around and charged back at Amir, pointing his bat in an aggressive manner while exchanging words with the left-arm pacer.
The intense confrontation in the middle could have turned worse, but the situation was quickly de-escalated by the intervention of other players on the field.

Chasing the target, Pindiz got over the line with 11 deliveries to spare. Rizwan (45) emerged as the top scorer while Kamran Ghulam (42) and Daryl Mitchell (32*) made handy contributions.
