India pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliance on the field with the ball has earned him fans of all ages, and he has been a huge inspiration for young kids who are pursuing cricket. Bumrah is currently with the Indian team that is playing in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Bumrah was not a part of the Indian XI that played in the tournament opener on February 7 against the USA. It was revealed that Bumrah suffered from an illness and hence was resting for the Men in Blue’s first game of the ICC tournament.
He traveled to Delhi for the second game against Namibia on February 12, 2026, and made a young fan’s day as he posed for a selfie. The fan also showed appreciation for Bumrah and told him that he wanted to be like him and bowl like him. Bumrah, in response, told him to be better than him.
In a video shared by Punjab Kings, the young fan, speaking in Punjabi, says, “Mein twade wangu banna chaunda (I want to be like you)", to which Bumrah warmly replies, “Mere toh vadia bani (try to become better than me)".
