Rohit Sharma, the no.1-ranked ODI batter in the world took a hilarious jibe at Ben Stokes’ England team. This came after England lost the Ashes 2025-26 series to Australia, after being defeated in the first three Tests of the five-match contest.

Rohit, who made a century in his last one-day international (ODI) in Australia on October 25, 2025, believes that playing in Australia is the most tough, and England can attest to this.

The English squad is now in Australia, preparing for the 2025-26 Ashes series. England has suffered three consecutive defeats in the first three Tests of the ongoing five-match series Down Under, and their prospects of winning an Ashes series in Australia have been dashed in just 11 days.

England lost the first two Tests in Perth and Brisbane by 8 wickets each inside three days, while they managed to hold off in the third Test in Adelaide, but lost by 82 runs.

Rohit attended an event in Gurugram on Sunday afternoon, while addressing a gathering of people. He spoke about playing cricket in Australia and decided to take a jab at the England team by using them as an example.

He said, “Australia mein khelna sabse difficult hai, aap England ko puch he sakte ho (playing in Australia is the most difficult, you can ask England about it)."

Rohit Sharma’s final Test match of his career came against Australia in Melbourne in December 2024. He is also the only batter from India to score 1000 ODI runs against Australia in Australia.

Rohit played ten matches in Australia, but only scored 439 runs in 19 innings. He scored three Test fifties against the Baggy Greens and went out for a duck once.
