India is set to play three ODIs and five T20Is against Sri Lanka at home in December this year.

The three-ODI series will begin on December 13 in Delhi, with the next two games to be played on December 16 and 19 in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, respectively.

The two teams will then clash in a three-game T20I series as well from December 22 onwards.

Meanwhile, official broadcasters for the said series, Star Sports, unveiled a promo featuring Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, recreating the viral scene from the Pathaan movie, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

The ad shows both Kohli and Rohit having a fun conversation regarding their long stint in Indian cricket. The two acknowledge the fact that they have been part of Indian cricket for so many years and have watched so many generations pass through.

To make the ad more interesting, Kohli and Rohit also parody some of their own current and former teammates. The two poke fun at each other while mimicking some of their contemporaries like KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill.

The promo then proceeds to focus on the excitement associated with the upcoming World Cup year. Both Kohli and Rohit emphasise the significance of the competition and mention that it could be an excellent year for Indian cricket.

Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma scored a century each in the recent ODI series against the West Indies and will next be seen in action in the five-game ODI series in New Zealand in October-November. Both the veterans have shown willingness to play in the 2027 World Cup, with Kohli stating that the ICC event will be his final outing for India and that he wants to finish on a high by winning the trophy.
