The ongoing ACC Women’s World Cup 2026 game between Indian women and Pakistani women in Dubai saw some distasteful slandering from Pakistani fans towards Indian player Kranti Gaud. Gaud was fielding near the boundary when Pakistani fans hurled sexist abuse at her, calling her a boy.

Voices can be heard disparaging the Indian cricket player's gender and appearance in the video that is making the rounds on social media platform X. They even constantly assert that she is a man. It was impossible to independently confirm the witnesses' identities or the incident's circumstances.

Gaud's name and the content of her comments have been a huge talking point after the game, even though the video has sparked social media debate over how women athletes are treated.  

On the field, India dominated Pakistan, knocking them out for 55 in 18.1 overs, their lowest-ever T20 international score.

Shree Charani and Prema Rawat, both young spinners, led the demolition with three wickets each. Charani took 3/7 from four overs, while leg-spinner Prema took 3/9. Deepti Sharma grabbed 2/5, and Shafali Verma also contributed with a wicket.

Then, despite losing three wickets, India managed to knock down the modest mark in 8.4 overs. Deepti finished not out on 12, while captain Harmanpreet finished undefeated on 18 and completed the victory with a six.

India qualified for the semi-finals in the Women's Asia Cup 2026 with this win.
