Fresh off a scintillating hundred in the final ODI between England and India, Rohit Sharma was seen attending the opening match of The Hundred 2026 between MI London and Sunrisers Leeds at the Oval.
Rohit Sharma had scored 138 in 110 runs, but despite his heroics and fifties by Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli, India failed to chase down the 388-run target at Lord’s, losing the game by 27 runs and the series 1-2.
Before heading to the stands for the game, Rohit was spotted mingling with the supporters and taking a few pictures. The former captain of India came there to see MI London, the Mumbai Indians' sister squad in the IPL, in action. Additionally, Rohit was spotted having a heated conversation with Nita Ambani, the owner of MI.
Before the century at Lord’s, Rohit had struggled in the eight ODIs, scoring 241 runs at an average of 30.1 and a strike rate of 88.6, with just one fifty to his name. There were rumors before the Lord’s ODI that it might be Rohit Sharma’s last game for India.
And in the chase of a 388-run target, Rohit gave it a good try, reaching his century in 84 balls, becoming the first Indian to score an ODI hundred at the Home of Cricket.
Rohit is expected to be in action next when India take on the West Indies in an ODI series, which will begin in late September.
