The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka was postponed after Krunal Pandya tested positive for COVID-19. The tour was already hit by the COVID-19 and the matches were rescheduled before the start of the ODI series.

Now, Krunal testing positive has pushed the second T20I by a day. As per ESPNcricinfo, 8 more members of Team India got in contact with him and they are likely to miss out on the last two matches.

Meanwhile, a TOI report suggests that Krunal's brother, Hardik Pandya, and other members Ishan Kishan, Devdutt Padikkal, Krishnappa Gowtham, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav are among the close contacts of the all-rounder. The eighth person wasn't revealed in the report.

Krunal and the cricketers who came in his contact will be staying in their hotel room, which means no participation in the rest of the series. Hardik, Shaw, Suryakumar, and Kishan had played the first T20I and they were also confirmed for the second T20I before the COVID-19 breakout.

Padikkal and Gowtham were expected to make their T20I debut but now it doesn't look good for them. The 2nd and 3rd T20Is of the series will be played on July 28 and 29, respectively.
