Indian cricket team is practicing in full flow before the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. The ODI series was supposed to start from July 13, but after COVID-19 cases in the Sri Lankan camp, it will kick off from July 18.
BCCI shared a video of Indian cricketers gearing up for the series. They covered all three departments and even showed Indian fielders practicing catches near the boundary ropes.
"#TeamIndia in the groove for the Sri Lanka series ???? ???? Prep & More Prep ???????? Batting ???? Bowling ???? Fielding ⚡ #SLvIND," wrote BCCI while sharing the video.
Team India have traveled with a lot of young talents and a few of them are going to make their debut in the blue jersey. The team coached by Rahul Dravid has the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Chetan Sakariya to showcase their skills at the international level after shining bright in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Sri Lankan cricket team is coming from a disappointing England tour. They got whitewashed in T20Is, and lost the ODI series 2-0 after rain played spoilsport in the last match.
After the rescheduling, the three ODIs will be played on June 18, 20 and 23 while the T20Is will be played on June 25, 27 and 29. Dasun Shanaka is set to lead Sri Lanka's limited-overs side against India, replacing Kusal Perera.
