Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal while lauding the Indian system says that even if the ‘C’ side tours Sri Lanka, they will win.

Since India’s triumph in Australia down under many Indian youngsters including the likes of Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar and T Natarajan, Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav rose to the occasion and helped Team India in clinching important victories.

The rise of the youngsters has led to the great bench strength for Team India going ahead into the ICC World Test Championship final and T20 World Cup later this year.

With Team India set to lock horns against New Zealand in the final of the ICC World Test Championship and then England in a five-Test series in the next few months, a specialist white-ball team will tour Sri Lanka in July and are set to play three ODIs and three T20Is.

Many pundits and former players from different nations have heaped praise on the Indian system for taking their game to a different level.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Kamran Akmal credited India’s mindset. He added that even if they field three international teams at the same time, each of them will be tough to beat because they made no comprises at the grass-root level.

"Full credit to India's mindset. Two teams will be playing at a time soon, one in England and one in Sri Lanka. Their cricket culture is so strong that they can field three international teams at the same time. This is because they have made no compromises at the grassroot level," Kamran Akmal said in a video posted on his YouTube channel.

Akmal heaped praise on Rahul Dravid for taking Indian cricket to the high level by making players ready at the grass-root level. He added that head coach Ravi Shastri has guided the team well.

"Rahul Dravid has been working with the BCCI for seven-eight years I think, and look where he has taken Indian cricket. Dravid has readied players for international cricket at the grass-root level. Then, in the Indian team, Ravi Shastri has guided them really well as head coach,” he said.

Akmal lauded how India has no paucity of leaders with Kohli, Rohit and KL Rahul standing in line to take up the responsibility any time.

"As captain, first MS Dhoni and now Virat Kohli have carried the team brilliantly. In between, when Kohli was resting, Rohit Sharma took over. Look at the captaincy options they have. If Rohit is injured, then they have KL Rahul. They are not affected even if big players are unavailable,"

Kamran Akmal further said that even if Team India sends a C side to Sri Lanka they would emerge victorious.

"Even if India sends a C team to Sri Lanka they will win. The Lankans recently lost to Bangladesh,” he concluded.
