Indian cricketers on Saturday (December 18) hit the ground running for the preparation of the upcoming three-match Test series against South Africa.
After landing in South Africa on December 16, Team India served a hard quarantine on the first day and began training from the second day.
Taking to Instagram, Team India’s official account shared pictures from the net session, in which the likes of Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, and Hanuma Vihari can be seen honing their batting skills.
On the other hand, pacers Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Shami featured in the post alongside veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
“#TeamIndia begin preparations for the first Test in Centurion. First practice session done,” the caption of the Indian cricket team’s post read.
The three-match Test series between India and South Africa will get underway on December 26 at SuperSport Park, Centurion.
