India and West Indies will play the third and final T20I of the series on February 20, 2022, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, and with the Indian team already having won the series 2-0, expect some experiments to be done with the playing XI.
Despite being asked to bat first in the second T20I, Indian batters did well to post a total of 186/5 in 20 overs, and then despite a dash by Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran, Indian bowlers kept their cool and managed to win the match by 8 runs thanks to Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s excellent 19th over under pressure.

Batter Virat Kohli and keeper-batter Rishabh Pant have been released from the Indian team bubble after India won the first two T20Is and they will spend the next 10 odd days with their families after a long time on the road.

This means Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan might not open together and Ruturaj Gaikwad might get a chance finally to play a game at the top. Kishan is expected to keep wickets and probably bat at the no.3 spot, with Shreyas Iyer also coming in to bolster the middle order in absence of Rishabh Pant.
Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer have shown their capabilities already and expect them to continue the good work and help India win the third match and whitewash West Indies in the series.
On the bowling front, expect one of Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Deepak Chahar to be rested and Avesh Khan making his much-awaited India debut. Shardul Thakur might come in as a pace-bowling all-rounder, while Kuldeep Yadav may come in for Yuzvendra Chahal and expect Ravi Bishnoi to continue his impressive work.
