"I think it starts from you guys," Rohit said in the pre-match press conference on Tuesday (February 15).

"If you guys (media) can keep quiet for a while, everything will be alright. If talking from your side stops, everything will be taken care of," he added.

Notably, Kohli hasn’t hit a hundred in international cricket since November 2019. During the recently held three-ODI series against West Indies, the former captain registered scores of 8, 18, and 0.

However, Rohit made it clear that his predecessor is not under any pressure and will come good soon.

"He is in a very good space and he has been part of international team for more than a decade. He has spent so much time in international cricket that he knows how to handle pressure situations," Rohit remarked.

"So I think everything starts from you guys. If you guys can keep it quiet for a bit everything will fall in place," he further said.

The T20I series between India and West Indies will get underway on February 16 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The remaining two T20Is will also be at the same venue on February 18 and February 20.
