India head coach Rahul Dravid and former skipper Virat Kohli on Sunday (March 13) showed great sportsmanship as both of them went to the Sri Lankan change room to congratulate Suranga Lakmal, who is making his last international appearance in the ongoing pink-ball Test at Bangalore.
Last month, Lakmal had announced that he will be retiring from international cricket after the India tour. While the right-arm pacer returned with the figures of 2/90 in India’s only innings in the opening Test at Mohali, he claimed one scalp across the two innings in the second Test.
During the second day’s action, Dravid and Kohli visited the visiting dugout and shook hands with Lakmal as a gesture to congratulate him on his brilliant career.

Suranga Lakmal played 70 Tests, 86 ODIs and 11 T20Is for Sri Lanka, picking a total of 288 international wickets.
