Rohit Sharma will captain India in Tests for the first time.

Rohit Sharma at his funny best during the pre-match presser | TwitterRohit Sharma is by far one of the funniest cricketers thanks to his laidback attitude and witty demeanor. He will be preparing to lead the Indian team for the first time in Test matches, when they play against Sri Lanka in the first of the two Tests in Mohali from March 4.

The Mumbai-born batter is known to give funny answers during his press conferences and the new India all-format captain was at his best during the pre-match presser recently.

Speaking to the media, he was indulged in a funny conversation with one of the reporters who asked him whether the match is going to be played on the outfield as he was not talking anything about the pitch.

Answering the same, Rohit funnily said that he is happy that no one is asking the correct questions about team combination, how the pitch is, etc.

In a video shared on social media, Rohit can be heard saying: “Sahi sawaal to koi puch hi nahi raha hai. Ye sahi sawaal hai jo abhi aap puch rahe ho. Crowd aa raha hai ki nahi, pitch kaisa hai, kya team combination hai. Ye to koi puch hi nahi raha hai, mere liye accha hai,” Rohit hilariously said. (It roughly translates to – Nobody is asking correct questions. This question is correct which you are asking. Questions related to crowd, pitch, team combination nobody is asking. It is good for me actually.)”

However, the 34-year-old was happy after he was asked about the crowd finally returning. He also answered properly when the right questions were asked.

Pitch is a little dry. The weather is cold in the morning, goes up to 28 degrees in the afternoon. It’s a typical Indian pitch. It’s a very good thing that crowd is coming back. Kohli is playing his 100th and it will be good for him as well as the team,” Rohit said.
