Team India on Monday (December 6) registered an emphatic 372-run victory over New Zealand in the second Test at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Chasing 540 in the fourth innings, the visitors got bowled out for a paltry 167. It was an abysmal batting display from the Kiwis as six of them in the line-up got out for a single-digit score. Daryl Mitchell top-scored in the second innings with 66.
Earlier, New Zealand were bundled out for a paltry 62 to concede a massive first-innings lead of 263 runs. The home team batted for 70 overs before declaring their second innings on 276/7.

For India, opener Mayank Agarwal starred with the bat, scoring 150 and 62 across the two innings while veteran off-spinner R Ashwin was the stand-out bowler, returning with the figures of 4/8 and 4/34 in the first and second innings respectively.
With this victory, India bagged the two-match Test series 1-0 and attained the top position in the ICC Test team rankings.
Virat Kohli and company were pretty thrilled and proud after the series victory. They took to micro-blogging site Twitter to rejoice their success.
