Umpires had to call for an early Tea break on Day 3 of the second Test between India and New Zealand after spider-cam got stuck near the pitch. A pitch invader, the poor landing area for a bowler, or bad light halting the play is very common in cricket, but spider-cam causing an issue is very rare.

The umpires and Indian players on the field were waiting for the spider-cam to go up and function normally, but it stayed there due to technical glitch and the match officials had to take an early Tea break.

Even India captain Virat Kohli was seen jokingly knocking the camera lens and telling the operators to take it above the playing area. But they all were helpless as the spider-cam wasn't moving at all.

Here is the video:

India are currently in the driving seat after setting a huge target of 540 runs for the visitors. The Kohli-led side scored 325 runs in the first innings and bowled out the Kiwis on 62 runs in reply.

Instead of enforcing the follow-on, India batted in the second innings and declared at 276/7. The lead of 539 would give them enough runs to play for the remaining days, while New Zealand would look to survive as long as they can but a draw is highly unlikely.
