New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel created history in the second Test against India by picking up 10 wickets in an innings. Patel joined England's Jim Laker and India's Anil Kumble as the only third bowler to take 10 wickets in a Test innings.
Former India spinner Kumble posted a tweet to praise the left-arm spinner for his achievement. He welcomed Ajaz to the 'Perfect 10' club and lauded the Kiwi for achieving the feat by bowling on Day 1 and 2.
"Welcome to the club #AjazPatel #Perfect10 Well bowled! A special effort to achieve it on Day1 & 2 of a test match. #INDvzNZ," wrote Kumble on Twitter.
The first two days of a Test match are easier to bat and usually, the last couple of days assist the spinners more. But the Wankhede pitch was offering enough turn for the spinners on Day 1 & 2, and Ajaz exploited it very well.
Kumble was the last bowler to take a 10-wicket haul in a Test innings which came during a Test in Delhi against Pakistan, back in 1999.
