India captain Virat Kohli expressed his disappointment after a decision was ruled against him by the third umpire during the second Test against New Zealand in Mumbai. Kohli had to depart on a duck, which was 14th Test duck of his career after left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel trapped him in front of the stumps.
It was the last ball of the 30th over when Kohli tried to defend a straight delivery but ended up getting hit on his pads. A confident appeal from Ajaz got approved by the on-field umpire Anil Chaudhary, who felt there was no bat involved.

As soon as Kohli saw the umpire raising his finger, he opted for a review, and he was later left surprised when the third umpire Virender Sharma dismissed his challenge. The third-umpire felt the ball hit his pads first before making a contact with the bat.
Kohli was seen hitting the boundary rope in anger while walking back to the dressing room. Even the spectators were animated on the controversial decision as they believed the India captain was wrongly given out.
