India levelled the three-match T20I series against Australia with a six-wicket in a 8 overs per-side clash at Nagpur after wet outfield delayed the start of play by two hours and thirty minutes.
While there was no rain at the time, the bad weather in the lead up to the game meant the outfield was waterlogged and the ground staff did a commendable job to ensure there is some action for the packed crowd to enjoy.
Rohit Sharma won a crucial toss and inserted Australia in. Australian captain Aaron Finch (31) and wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade (43*) played well to help their side post a score of 90/5 in their 8 overs. For India, Akshar Patel (2/13) was the best of the bowlers with Jasprit Bumrah making an impressive return from injury.

India's chase was led by Rohit himself as he smashed an unbeaten 46 in 20 balls, while KL Rahul (10), Virat Kohli (11), Hardik Pandya (9) contributed some quick runs from the other end. Adam Zampa (3/16) did a marvellous job for his captain to keep the visitors in the contest.
9 were needed off the final over bowled by Daniel Sams with Dinesh Karthik yet to take his first ball on strike. The designated finisher of the Indian team did what he was picked for in the T20 World Cup squad, as he smacked a six and four to finish the game for India with four balls to spare.
Rohit quickly came over to hug Karthik, his long-time friend and teammate as India levelled the series with the decider to be played on Sunday.
