SHIKHAR DHAWAN
Shikhar Dhawan is one of the most experienced members of the Indian team, having made his India debut in 2010. He has experience of captaincy as he led Delhi in Ranji Trophy and other tournaments and has captained Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2013 and is the vice-captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC) since 2019.
Dhawan was the vice-captain of the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2018 which India won under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. The India left-hander has played 142 ODIs and 65 T20I matches for India since 2010 and has made 5977 and 1673 runs respectively with 17 centuries in the limited-overs format.
He is the most experienced amongst the possible team India members who might travel to Sri Lanka for the white-ball tour and is the best choice for the captaincy.
