Afghanistan and Bangladesh will play in the final of the tri-nation triseries on Sunday.

Gurbaz made 61 for Afghanistan | TwitterThe final league match of the Bangladesh tri-nation T20I series saw Zimbabwe playing Afghanistan at Chattogram. This was the last international match for Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza, who had announced his retirement from cricket before the series.

Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. They put on 155/8 in 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz made 61 in 47 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes, while Hazratullah Zazai made 31 with 3 fours and 2 sixes. However, the next best score was 16 from Shafiqullah as Chris Mpofu picked career-best T20I figures of 4/30. Tinotenda Mutombodzi took 2/18 as well.

Though Brendan Taylor lost his wicket for 19 runs, captain Masakadza carried on to make a fine 71 in 42 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes. He got support from Regis Chakabva (39) and Sean Williams (21*), who took the Zimbabwe team home with 3 balls to go and seven wickets in hand. Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked 2/28 for Afghanistan.

Chris Mpofu was awarded the Man of the Match.
