IPL 2020: Match 17, MI v SRH – Fantasy Cricket Tips, Possible Playing XIs, Pitch and Weather

Fantasy Tips for Match 17 of IPL 2020.

The two star openers will be up against each other

The doubleheaders have started in Indian Premier League (IPL) 13 as Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an afternoon game at Sharjah on Sunday. Both teams will be playing their fifth game of IPL 2020.

SRH and MI are in a similar position as they have won two and lost two out of their first four games. MI will be high on confidence after their last win against Kings XI Punjab and so will the SRH team be as they have won back-to-back games.

The pitch and ground conditions might suit the MI batsmen but SRH also has a great bowling line-up so it would be fun to watch a contest between them.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah

Pitch and Weather Report

An afternoon game at Sharjah won’t excite the team which needs to bowl first as there is a high chance that the sun will be beating down as the temperature will be in the high 30s and low 40s. All the players need to keep hydrating themselves throughout the game.

This is the best pitch for batsmen in the tournament and it might continue to play the same way. Not only that but also the ground size is suiting the batsmen as they can hit sixes at will. 224 was chased at this venue so it is better to chase if you win the toss.

Team News

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have made a strong comeback after their super over loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, the star Indian players were at their best as they completely outplayed Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Abu Dhabi.

Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard demolished the KXIP bowling attack in the last six overs as the ball didn’t touch the ground and just kept going in the empty stands. It was a great team effort from the MI team and they might not make any changes to their XI.

Kieron Pollard and Jasprit Bumrah will be the key players for MI in this game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who lost their first two games, has got back in form as they have won two in a row to make a strong comeback. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow haven’t set the world on fire but the youngsters Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma impressed everybody with their maturity in the last game. Abdul Samad as well was brilliant under pressure.

Rashid Khan was exceptional in the last two games as he gave away less than 15 runs in his four overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar left the field midway through his last over and his injury will be a huge concern for the team. If he is not fit, they might think of getting in Siddarth Kaul or Sandeep Sharma.

On a flat wicket, David Warner and Rashid Khan will be the key players for SRH.
